Hello, my French family, I almost can’t believe it: I’ve been producing for just over a year. Actually, Jess and Karl The Voice don’t know this, but a remix I made for them last year was only my second song ever! It’s been such a fun year making tunes that it doesn’t feel like 12 months since I laid down my very first unofficial remix—[1] a soulful rendition of Calvin Harris’s Flashback. Back then, I barely knew what I was up to at the time, so, all things considered, the mix came out pretty alright. It certainly brought a smile to my face every time I heard it since, which is why I returned to it this week and made an updated, 2011 Remix for a friend who asked for a longer copy of the 2010 mix.

But instead of merely extending it, I went under the hood, re-mastered it (sounds a bit crisper now), added a few new goodies, and, of course, lengthened it by two minutes. I also whipped up a Youtube video complete with a surprise ending—so stick around until the end to catch some dance moves by yours truly.
